The Space Center Houston is one of the world’s prominent and largest centers for space research and operation. The former Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center was christened in November of 1967. It is a joint project of the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA. It is located in Houston, Texas, just west of the Houston Ship Channel. It is America’s first international space museum and a part of the Science and Operations Museum of NASA.
